Jackie LaVern Gillenwater, 69, of Indianapolis, passed away August 15, 2016. The daughter of Gordon E. and Helen M. Warren Tapp, Jackie was born May 19, 1947, in Brown County, Indiana.

A homemaker, she had worked 12 years for Romine Industry and later for Accrent Products, making automobile guages. Jackie enjoyed reading her Bible, fishing, camping and family gatherings.

Jackie is survived by her husband, Eugene L. Gillenwater of Indianapolis, whom she married on August 31, 1968; daughter, Cynthia (Jerry) Mullins of Mooresville; brother, Ronald G. Tapp of Winslow; sister, Veva (Terry) Davis of Clarksville; grandsons, Jerry David (Jennifer) Hardin of New Whiteland, Douglas Allen Hardin of Indianapolis and Samuel Gordon (Louis) Hardin of Daleville; five great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Jackie was preceded in death by brothers, William L. Tapp and Daniel R. Tapp.
