Mrs. Jacquelyn Dianne Williams, Greenwood, passed away Wednesday, August 5, 2020 at Greenwood Village South. She was 69. Dianne was born in Hawkinsville, Georgia, February 20, 1951, a daughter of the late William Duren and Jacquelyn (Wilcox) Wilson.
Dianne earned a Bachelor's degree in Nursing and served alongside her husband, Major Emmett F. Williams (Ret.), while he served in the United States Army. She worked at the military hospital in Wurzburg, Germany and then at a doctor's office at Fort Benning, Georgia while stateside. After her husband's retirement, she worked for over 20 years at Transformations as the salon manager, retiring in 2015.
Dianne spent her leisure time reading, talking and writing. She deeply loved her family, especially her grandchildren, and cherished the moments she could be with them. She was a member of Grace Assembly of God, where she was an integral part of many ministries including the Great Harvest Food Pantry, where she served as a board member. She also served with the Indiana Diaper Source with the church among many other activities.
Dianne is survived by her loving husband, Emmett F. Williams; her sons, Alexander Williams, Stephen (Melissa) Williams and Joshua Williams; her grandchildren, D'arcy, Julian, Schroeder, Maggie, Penelope and Solomon; her brother, William Duren (Lauren) Wilson and a nephew, Max (Bessa) Wilson.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 pm, Wednesday, August 12, 2020 at Grace Assembly of God, 6822 N. US 31, Greenwood, IN 46184. Pastor Wayne Murray will be officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
The family will receive friends from 11:00 am until the time of service at the church.
