Its with heavy hearts, we announce the passing of James "Jim" Carlton Dillow, 88 of Beach Grove. Jim was a beloved husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather.

Jim was the youngest of 12 children. He was born on August 13, 1936 to the late Kelly Harlow and Elizbeth Irene (Catron) Dillow in Tazewell, Virginia.

Jim graduated from Tazewell High School in 1954. In 1955, Jim married Betty Ann Carner. Together the raised three children.

Jim was known for his sense of humor, kind heart, and strong work ethic. He loved music and his family. Jim was an auto parts profession starting at the age of 19 until he retired.

Left to honor his memory are his wife of 70 years Betty Dillow; children Jessica Dillow-McLin and Paul (Christie) Dillow; grandchildren Zach (Dawn) McLin, Abby McLin, Allison McLin, James Max Dillow, Grace (Ethan Janes) Dillow and Amber Rogers and great grandchildren Jameson Simpson, Alexander Rogers, Adelaide Rogers and Kelly Dillow-Janes. He is preceded in death by both parents; son, James Scott Dillow and his siblings, Charlies, Roy, Bill, George, Beulah, Effie, Ruth, Kate, Jessie and Pauline, Kelly, Jr.
