James E. Carver, 81 of Indianapolis, passed away on Tuesday, July 6, 2021. He was born in Glasgow, KY to the late Antnie and Ethel Carver.

James worked at Allison for 32 years.

James is survived by his wife, Judith (Carol) Carver; children, Wanda (Kim) Goldsby, Bob (Debi) Carver, Doug Carver, and Kay Carver; step children, Russell Perdue and Devan Johnson; sister Jessie Gulley; 16 grandchildren; many great grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by both parents; four sisters, Amy Holley, Bea Manley, Anna Easter and Katie Likens; step son, Val Perdue; and two grandchildren, Douglas Carver, Jr., and Scott Carver.

Visitation will be Friday, July 9, 2021 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, Ben Franklin Chapel. Funeral Service will be at 1:00 PM at the Ben Franklin Chapel. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in James' name may be made to the American Cancer Society.
