Jim Cunningham, 82, a loving husband, dad, and papaw passed away Monday, December 7, 2009. He was born May 23, 1927 in Louisville, KY to the late Clarence and Estelle Cunningham who later moved to Beech Grove. In 1945 he graduated from Beech Grove High School then went on to graduate from Indiana Drafting College and moved to Greenwood in 1959. Jim was a member of Our Lady of Greenwood, St. Roch, the Society of MFG. Engineers, American Legion and VFW of Greenwood. He was a Navy veteran who served his country proudly in W.W. II. Jim retired from Tube Processing in 1991. Jim is survived by his childhood sweetheart, whom he has been married to for 61 years, Margaret "Pete" Brown. Other survivors include two sons, Mike(JoAnn), and Jeff(Peggy) both of Indianapolis; a special niece, Bernita(Bill) Gregory of Ft. Thomas, KY; and five wonderful grandchildren. Family and Friends will gather on Thursday, December 10 from 4pm until 8pm at Forest Lawn Funeral Home and Memory Gardens. A service will follow at the funeral home on Friday, December 11 at 11am. with entombment following also at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens. Please make memorial to charity of choice.
