James E. Flora, age 67, of Indianapolis, passed away Tuesday, March 4, 2014. He was born July 6, 1946 in Bowling Green, KY to Charles W. and Leona F. Flora.

James was a graduate of Wood High School in Indianapolis with the Class of 1964. He was a U.S. Army veteran and he worked at State Gear for 30 plus years as a Machinist. James attended Warren Park Wesleyan Church, and was a member of the Loyal Order of the Moose # 17. He loved to work hard and take care of his family.

James married the former Vinie M. Boothe on March 3, 1966 in Fortville, IN and she survives him along with his sons, James E. Flora, Jr., and Jerry L. Flora; brothers, Charles (Brenda) Flora and David Flora; sisters, Wanda Jean Ginnel and Doris (Richard) Whitman; 3 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted Monday, March 10, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, Greenwood, with entombment to follow in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens. Visitation will be Sunday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
