James A. Hatton, 59, of Indianapolis passed away Friday, February 7, 2014, at St. Francis Hospital. Born March 25, 1954 in Indianapolis, he was the son of the late Carl and Hazel (Thompson) Hatton.

James was a 1972 graduate of Arsenal Tech High School. He worked for General Motors in Indianapolis for thirty years, retiring in 2008. James enjoyed playing golf, and was an avid Indianapolis Colts fan. James also achieved the level of Eagle Scout.

He is survived by his wife, Janie Cherry Hatton, whom her married on June 16, 1972 in Indianapolis; daughter, Lisa (Randy) Barnhart; brother, Bob (Becky) Hatton, and grandson, Austin Barnhart. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 PM Tuesday, February 11, 2014 at Forest Lawn Funeral Home in Greenwood, Indiana. Visitation will be from 11:00 AM until time of service Tuesday at the funeral home.
