James V. Holdren, 57, of Indianapolis, IN passed away September 29, 2013 at his residence. Born August 6, 1956 in Shelbyville, IN, he was the son of Charles A. and Elsie Mae (Maddox) Holdren. On March 18, 1997, he married Kathy (Bechert) in Las Vegas, Nevada. James worked as a route delivery driver for Mascari Cleaners. He enjoyed fishing and spending time with his grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife Kathy; son, David B. Tackett; three daughters, Chris (George) Pickett, Jodi (Gary) Poynter, and Fancy Tackett; three brothers, William Holdren, Charles E. Holdren and Lee T. (Darla) Holdren; two sisters, Carolyn S. (Robert) Turner and Mary (Jim) Beaver; twelve grandchildren, and two great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters and a brother.

Funeral services will be conducted Friday, October 4, 2013, 11:00 AM at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, 1977 S. S.R. 135, Greenwood, with burial to follow in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens. Visitation will be Thursday, October 3, 2013 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
