James "Jim" Ochiltree Dunham Sr., of Indianapolis, IN, passed away on the afternoon of Wednesday, July 22nd, 2026. He was 87 years old. Jim was born in Indianapolis, IN, to his parents, Roy and Marilee Dunham. Jim married his wife, Deanna M. Dunham, on June 5th, 1959, and they shared 50 years of marraige together until Deanna passed away in 2009.

Jim was a self-employed repairman for most of his career before going into sales and later working security at both the Horseshoe Casino in Shelbyville and Winner’s Circle in downtown Indianapolis. He really enjoyed interacting with people and always had a story to tell. Jim loved all things sports! His favorite teams were Colts, IU and the L.A. Dodgers. Growing up he played baseball and went on to play for the Dodgers in the minor leagues. He also enjoyed bowling and playing softball.

Jim is survived by his children Jimmy (Mary) Dunham Jr., Annette (Steve) Brackett, Vicki (Al) Homrig, and Chris (Tammy) Dunham; along with 10 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.

He was proceeded in death by his wife Deanna M. Dunham and parents Roy and Marilee Dunham.

A visitation for Jim will be held on Tuesday, July 28th, 2026, at Forest Lawn Funeral Home from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm. There will be another time of visitation on Wednesday, July 29th, 2026, from 12:30 pm until the start of the funeral service. The funeral service will be on Wednesday, July 29th, 2026, at 1:30 pm. Burial will immediately follow at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens at 2:30 pm.
