James Jones, Jr., 79, passed away Wednesday, September, 7, 2011. Jim was born on August 23, 1932 in Manchester, KY to the late James and Rosa (Hyde) Jones, Sr. Jim is a U.S. Army veteran.
Jim was a tremendously loving husband, father, brother, and grandfather and will be sadly missed. Jim was a fabrication technician for Carrier Corp. for 32 years prior to his retiring in 1994. Jim loves country and bluegrass music. He and his wife Dorothy also enjoyed traveling the country.
Jim is survived by his loving wife Dorothy of 51 years; their children: Paul Jones, Rebecca Ramirez, and Matthew Jones (Evelyn); 7 siblings; 6 grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Jim was preceded in death by his parents and 2 siblings.
Visitation will be on Sunday, September 11, 2011 from 2:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, 1977 S. State Rd. 135, Greenwood. The funeral service will be held on Monday, September 12, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. with burial to follow in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens with full military rites offered.
