James Michael Kimbler, 59, of Indianapolis passed away on Monday, June 6, 2011. He was born in Edinburgh, IN to Ellen Jane Kimbler (Edward) Miller and the late James E. Kimbler. After serving his country proudly in the United States Air force, Jim later retired from Naval Avionics as Director of Public Works. He was a member of the Greenwood American Legion, loved mushroom hunting, fishing, and anything involving nature. Jim also enjoyed reading, drawing, and traveling. Preceding him in death was his brother, Edward A. Kimbler. Survivors include one daughter, Jennifer L. (John) Kelly; one sister, Annette Kimbler; four grand-children, Destiny Kimbler, Sophie Kelly, Carolina Kelly, and Jackson Kelly. Family and friends will gather in Forest Lawn Funeral Home on Thursday, June 9, 2011 from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM with a service following on Friday, June 10, 2011 at 11:00 AM.
