James "Jay" Scott Jr., 83, of Greenwood, passed away April 10, 2007. He was born in Celina, Tennessee to James and Zora Scott Sr. He was a Veteran of World War II. Jay worked in Postal Service. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers, Mack, Marvin, Leo, Dolph, Eddie, and Mayford Scott; sisters, Melia Short, Maycel Davis, and Marie Kerr. Jay was a member of the Whiteland Church of Christ. He is survived by his wife, Josephine Scott; sons James C. Scott III and Philip D. Scott; sister, Eva Morris; two grandchildren, Laura Coykendall and Veronica Scott; two great-grandsons, Alexander Scott and Robert James. Funeral services will be Friday at 10:00 a.m. at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, 1977 S. State Road 135, Greenwood. Friends may call from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thursday April 12th at the funeral home.
