James Owen "Jim" Spall, 86, of Indianapolis died Thursday, September 24, 2009. Jim was born to the late Daniel and Lula Owen Spall in Seymore, In on May 25, 1923. Jim retired 1986 working 40 years as a chief inspector with Thomas & Skinner. He was an active member of Lockerbie Square United Methodist Church, where he served as a past trustee and youth fellowship volunteer. After his retirement Jim spent years as head usher and cositoden at the church. He was active with the Boy Scout Troops # 5 & 83. Surviving are is wife of 59 years Rosemary Reck Spall. Two sons and daughter inlaws: Richard O. & Louise Spall Sr., Steve & Karen Spall. One daughter and son inlaw: Sheila J. & Daniel Riley. Ten grandchildren. Four great grandchildren. One sister and brother inlaw: Berna & Roy Derrett. Family will receive friends from 2-7 PM Sunday. Funeral Service will be at 2:00 PM Monday at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens and Funeral Home, 1977 South State Road 135, Greenwood, In 46143. Memorials may be given to the American Heart or the American Lung associatons.
