Mrs. Jamie Nicole Heichelbech, Greenwood, Indiana, passed away comfortably on the early morning of Saturday, February 13, 2021 after a long and hard fought battle with ovarian cancer. She was 39. Jamie was surrounded by close family and was extremely peaceful and pain free. She was born February 13, 1982 in Indianapolis, Indiana a daughter of Charles Craney and the late Patricia (Vela) Craney.

Jamie was full of life, always looking for ways to put a smile on someone's face. From bursting out in full '80s dance routines to singing (incredibly off key) to her 'jams' on the radio, she had no fear of what others thought of her. She was doing what she wanted, when she wanted. If you told her she couldn't, well, you were in for a show while she proved that not only she could, but could do it in style. Her strength was simply unmatched in everything she did from being compassionate, schooling or battling any obstacle that stood in way. She was dedicated to her purpose in life, which was to be the best member of the Air Force National Guard that she could be, the best Mother a daughter could ask for, a loving wife and thankful daughter as well as helping others.

As a Mother, you never had to wonder where her love and allegiance lay. Whether it was cheering at sporting events as loudly as she could, always being supportive and offering assistance, cheerleading or assisting them to be the best they could be at anything they did. Loving with every ounce of her soul, she left it all on the table for her daughters. An incredible wife, she was always caring and understanding, supportive, loving and deeply involved in growing the bond that was her marriage. As a daughter, she could never be more thankful and proud of the man she called 'Daddy' and knowing she made him proud was as satisfying as anything she could have done in life. Her Daddy was her hero and from that she became a hero to many.

Her passions as a social worker were her next level and her effort to be the best at it was simply 110% every day. .Jamie enjoyed the military and her 'second family' for nearly 18 years. She would talk about it with such excitement and detail that we all knew how much it meant to her. We couldn't understand a thing she was saying, with all the codes, last names and ranks, but she definitely left a lasting impression for sure. She always jumped at the chance to represent her country and military base every chance she got. She would suit up, hold a flag, support events and salute the situation. She was honored to be a part of something greater than everyday life. She was proud to serve her country.

Jamie's hobbies included sleep….lots of sleep. She loved going to Pacers and Colts games with her family. She also LOVED making baby blankets, tie blankets (and Nate stole every one of them). Jamie also enjoyed diaper cakes and she picked up a love of sewing and doodling. She cherished being around her family and friends whenever possible. She enjoyed dinner dates with her girlfriends, watching the craziest shows she could find on Netfilx and backrubs…a ton of backrubs.

A message she would want shared with everyone would be to listen to yourself, be your own voice, follow your dreams and love what you love.

Jamie is survived by her loving husband, Nate Heichelbech; her two amazing daughters, Jessica Roller and Elliana Heichelbech; her father, Charles (Paula) Craney as well as her aunt Julia (Vela) Davis.

She is preceded in passing by her mother, Patricia (Vela) Craney; her twin sister, Jessica and her grandmothers, Guadalupe Vela and Rosalie Craney.

A Celebration of Life for Jaime will be held at later date and will be announced by the family on social media and will be open to all her family and friends.
