Janeatta M. "Jeni" Smith, 51, of Greenwood, passed away March 25, 2016. Born June 22, 1964 in Greenwood, she was the daughter of the late David and Beverly (Powden) Klein.

She was a 1982 graduate of Greenwood High School, a homemaker, and was loyal to her family and friends. She was the Geocaching Lead Reviewer for Indiana, loved camping and hiking, crafting, and her dog and cats. She had many friends across the United States.

She is survived by her husband, Richard L. Smith; a son, Evan Mitchell Smith; a daughter, Betsy (Charlie) Baxter; and a brother, Michael Klein. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Funeral services will be 12:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 30, 2016 in Forest Lawn Funeral Home, Greenwood. Friends may call from 10:00 a.m. until time of service Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
