Janet Loretta Chastain, 78, of Bargersville, IN died Saturday February 4, 2012 at her home. She was born on January 28, 1934 the daughter of Ora Elgin and Edna Louise (Whitinger) Cavender. She married Orville Chastain on December 14, 1951.
She was pas president of local T.O.P.S. Club of Indianapolis, She loved researching family history, Playing music on the family organ for her husband, Camping , Fishing Roller Skating , swimming, Needle crafting
Surviving relatives include three daughters, Terry Sue (David) Lohrman of Indianapolis, IN; Jodi Marie Gray of Wanamaker, IN; Christina Rae Morrow of Franklin, IN; eight grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one sister Virgina Fletcher, one brother Donald L. Cavender.

Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Thursday (2-9-2012) at the First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) 101 East Street Bargersville, IN. Minister Ken Rickett will officiate. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens in Greenwood, IN. Visitation will be 5 - 9 p.m. Wedneday (2-8-2012) at Forest Lawn Funeral Home 1977 S.
