Janet "Jenny" Nadine Rogers, Franklin, IN, passed away on Tuesday, February 3, 2026. She was 79 years old. Janet was born in Indianapolis, IN, to her parents Charles and Lucille Bell. Janet married her husband, Robert Christ, and they shared twenty years of marriage together until Robert passed away in 2013
Janet worked as a Bus Driver for Center Grove Schools and retired in the early 2000s after 25 years of service. Janet was a member of Bluff Creek Christian Church with her husband for many years before she took on the responsibility of caring for him when he became ill. Janet loved to go shopping and splurge on the finer things in life; her family lovingly referred to her as a boujee lady. Janet was the life of the party and loved to spend time with friends. She thoroughly enjoyed hosting her family and celebrating life with them. Janet will be dearly missed and forever cherished by those she leaves behind.
Janet is survived by her children, John (Tammy Manning-Smith) Rogers Jr., Jerry (Melany) Rogers and Jennifer (Bobby) Williams; her grandchildren, Brandon Rogers, Amanda (JP) Lawrence, Blake Rogers, Danielle (Jordon) Buergelin, Caroline (Logan) Hale, Jerica (Daniel) Woodworth, and Levite (Miranda) Biddle; her great grandchildren, Grayson, Brayden, Maddison, Annabelle, Briella, Blake, Adler, Ethan, Mason, and Ada.
Janet is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Robert; her son, Jim Rogers; her great grandson, Gabriel Woodworth; her sister, Kay Crosley
A celebration of life will be held for Janet at a later date.
