Obituary

Janet L. Helft, 67, of Indianapolis, passed away March 5, 2015 at Franciscan St. Francis Hospital. Born September 14, 1947 in Indianapolis, she was the daughter of the late Henry J. and Mary (Engle) Simon. Janet was a 1966 graduate of Scecina Memorial High School and received her Associates Degree in business from Indiana Central Business College. She worked as a marketing and sales associate for Endress & Hauser, retiring in 2012.
She married C. Gene Helft on March 2, 1974 in Indianapolis, he survives. Also surviving are five brothers, James, Joseph, Thomas, Gerald, and David Simon; six sisters, Carole DeCapua, Barbara Sida, Mary Jo Ray, Ellen Sharp, Catherine Jacobs, and Linda Simon; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Charles Simon, and a sister Frances Simon.
Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Monday, March 9, 2015 in Forest Lawn Funeral Home. Friends may call from 11:00a.m. until time of service Monday at the funeral home.
