Janet Lynn (Walker) Tansel, of Avon Park, Florida, (formerly from Beech Grove, IN) passed away Monday, March 1, 2021 at Highland Regional Hospital in Sebring Florida.  She was born in Martinsville Indiana on June 20, 1951 to Herman and Jean Walker of Morgantown Indiana.  She graduated from Indian Creek High School in 1970.

Janet worked at Indiana Insurance for 10 years.  She was married to Richard Tansel on September 24, 1988 in Beech Grove Indiana.

She is survived by her husband Richard Tansel of Avon Park, Florida, step-children Steven "Tony" Tansel of Mars Hill, IN, Amy Tansel of Terre Haute, IN, granddaughter Aurora Broude, of Vincennes, IN.

She is also survived by her siblings,  Linda Lanning of Greenfield, IN, Mike Walker of Trafalgar, IN, Sue Graphman of Bean Blossom, IN, Jane Woker of Greenfield, IN, Ann Richardson of Trafalgar, IN, John Walker of Trafalgar, IN, Pam Walker Seals of Mooresville, IN.

She was preceded in death by her Father and Mother Herman Walker and Jean Walker.

She was a kind and giving Aunt to all her many loving nieces and nephews throughout the years.

She enjoyed traveling across the country and England to visit with more family members of her Mother.

A Celebration of Life will be held on April 8 th , 2021 from 1pm to 3pm at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens & Funeral Home, 1977 S. State Rd. 135, Greenwood, Indiana. There will be an inurnment at 3:00 pm.
