Mrs. Janet Sue Whited, Indianapolis, Indiana, passed away March 3, 2026, at 84 years of age. When mother passed, it was peaceful and she was surrounded by family and an Aide that was cherished by the family.
Mother showed us so much love and sacrificed so much to give us the best upbringing that she could. She could have stayed at home, but instead she chose to work at the Hardee's restaurant for decades and even sold her blood so us kids could attend a private Christian school. It's sacrifices like this that gave us kids a good foundation for us to start our own lives and our own families.

Mother, you did a good job. You will always be loved, remembered, and cherished. Because of you and father, we kids are doing well and we have good lives. While we now have a hole in our hearts, you filled the rest of our hearts with love.

Mom was born August 13, 1941, in Indianapolis, Indiana to John and Ethel Pattison and married our father, Jerry Whited on March 19, 1960. Mom and dad remained married until his passing on October 8, 2015.

She was predeceased by her father and mother, John and Ethel Pattison, along with three of her grandchildren, Michael, Rebecca and Joshua, and her great-grandchild, Kyra McPherson.

She is survived by her daughters, Roxann, Shirley and Christine and her son, Craig. She is also survived by her siblings, Maryann, James and Patsy; along with five grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 pm, Saturday, March 14, 2026 at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, Greenwood. She will be laid to rest following the services at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
The family will receive friends from 11:00am until the time of service Saturday at the funeral home.
