Janice Houchin, 80, of Martinsville returned to her heavenly home, April 28, 2019. Janice was born in Lamar, IN on February 2, 1939 to Fennith and Alma Evans. Janice will be remembered for the loving, sweet kind Christian woman she was. She enjoyed reading, completing puzzles. She liked spending time with her cat, Charlie and especially time with her family. Janice was a woman of faith, devoting her life to Jesus Christ our Savior. She especially enjoyed listening and watching Jimmy Swaggart ministries. She will be greatly missed.

Janice is survived by her son, Ricky (Cathie) Houchin; daughter, Angela (James) Gehbauer; son-in-laws, Robert Costello and Douglas Anthony; sister, Carol (Roy) James; sister-in-laws, Marrianne Evans and Peggy Evans; grandchildren, Elizabeth (Josh) Mosier, Sarah (Donald) Barton, Danielle (Randy) Sterk, Alisha (Ryne) Brewer, Ryan (Courtney) Costello, Tyler (Amanda) Houchin, Emily (James) Heare, Brandon (Erika) Anthony, Jessica Costello and Jacob (Ashley) Gehbauer; 10 great grandchildren and two on the way. She is preceded in death by her beloved daughters, Kathryn Costello in 2010 and Karen Anthony in 2011, her parents, Fennith and Alma; husband Kenneth in 1990 and siblings, Gary Evans, Fennith Evans and David Evans.

Visitation will be held Friday May 3rd from 4:00-8:00 PM at Forest Lawn funeral Home 1977 S State Rd. 135 Greenwood, Indiana.  Funeral Services will be held Saturday May 4th at 11:00 AM in the Funeral Home.  Burial to follow in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
