Janice Faye Sears, age 81, of Indianapolis, passed away Wednesday, March 7, 2012. She was born May 13, 1930 to William and Viola (Griswald) Milner. She married Alvis Sears on August 17, 1947. Janice was a cook in the Wayne Township School system for 23 years, and she was a member of First United Evangelical Church.
She is survived by her husband, Alvis; sons, William (Arla) Sears and Francis (Robin) Sears; daughters, Janet (Bob) Newhouse, Joyce (Joe) Wentworth, and Jean (Dylan) Smith; thirteen grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and one son, Allen Sears.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, March 13 at 2:00 PM at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, Greenwood with visitation from Noon until service time at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens. Memorial contributions may be made to First United Evangelical Church Memorial Fund.
