Janice Kay Mason, 72, of Franklin, died May 15, 2015. The daughter of Ralph Wendell and Joyce Kathleen Hampton Turpin, Janice was born December 19, 1942 in Indianapolis.

She was a 1966 graduate of Arsenal Technical High School and was a homemaker. Janice enjoyed reading, especially James Patterson novels and historical romances. She was a cat lover.

Janice is survived by sons, David Scott (Charleen) Turpin of Wilkinson, Neal Warren (Treva Burton) Mason, Jr. of Franklin and Michael Wayne (Jody) of Redkey; daughters, Carla Evelyn Hurst-Chandler of Greencastle, Lisa Kay Thacker of Franklin and Tina Marie (Chad) Pence of Franklin; 19 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Larry David Turpin.

Funeral services 1:00 p.m. May 21, 2015 at Forest Lawn Funeral Home - 1977 South State Road 135, Greenwood, where friends may call from 11:00 a.m. to service time. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens, Greenwood.
