Janie Fulmer, age 61, of Greenwood, passed away Tuesday, June 5, 2012 at Kindred Hospital with her family at her side. She was born April 4, 1951 in Beech Grove to George A. and Joyce (Acton) Powell. She attended Emmerich Manual High School and graduated with the Class of 1969. Janie was an Administrative Assistant for Allison Gas Turbine, Dow Chemical and other companies for many years. She loved praise and worship to her Lord and was actively involved with Angel Ministries. Janie also loved to spend time with her family and traveling.
Janie married John Fulmer on January 1, 1992 and he survives, along with her mother, Joyce; sons, Donald Marr, Brian (Rebecca) Marr, Brad Marr and Jay Fulmer; daughter, Jill (Doug) Miller; sisters, Sandra (Chuck) Pruitt, Judith Powell; nine grandchildren, one great grandchild, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father; brother, David Powell; sisters, Brenda Derocher, and Esther Burris.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 9, 2012 at 10:00 am at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, Greenwood, with entombment to follow in Forest Lawn Liberty Mausoleum. Visitation will be Friday from 4:00 to 8:00 pm at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Center United Methodist Church Mission Fund, 5445 Bluff Road, Indianapolis, IN 46217
