J.D. Bridges, 78, of New Whiteland passed away Wednesday, November 16, 2010. He was born to the late Lawrence and Dora Bridges of Scottsville, Kentucky. J.D. was a member of the Whiteland Missionary Baptist Church of New Whiteland. He had retired from the International Harvester, where he served as a molder in Indianapolis. J.D. proudly served our country in the U.S. Army. J.D. was preceded in death by his wife, Letris Jean Gregory; and one daughter, Patty Jean Bridges. Survivors include one son, Jack Bridges (Michelle); one daughter, Darlene Burke (Jerry); two sisters, Elaine Sullivan and Jonelle Payne; and three grandchildren. Family and friends will gather on Thursday, November 18, 2010 in Forest Lawn Funeral Home from 11:00 A.M. until 1:00 P.M. with a service immediately following.
