J.D. Emberton, 77, of Indianapolis passed away July 17, 2016. He was born July 22, 1938 in Scottsville, KY to Aubrey Stanton and Ova Belle (Carter) Emberton.

J.D. was a member of the Steve Jeffris Fan Club, Stout Field Wednesday Night Knife Club, Shaffer Pool Distribute League Indianapolis, and the Masonic Lodge #713.

He was preceded in death by his parents; loving wife, Linda Emberton; daughter, Lisa Neel.

J.D. is survived by his son, Paul Emberton; daughter, Kimberly (Doug) Buck; grandchildren, Stu, Stephanie, Heather, Zach, Wendy, Aubrey and Shayla; 9 great grandchildren; step children and grandchildren; special friends, Everett Mathis, Allen and Debbie Drake, Jerry and Steve Stanger and all the ones that knew him. He is also survived by his loving canine companions, Heidi and Max.

Visitation will be held on Friday, July 22 from 10 am - 12 pm with a funeral service at 12 pm in Forest Lawn Funeral Home, 1977 S. State Rd. 135, Greenwood 46143. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
