Obituary

It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of our beloved, Jeannine Ann (Malling) Evans, who left us on April 15, 2025 at the age of 81. She was born on August 28, 1943 in Indianapolis and lived a full and enriching life dedicated to her husband, friends, and family.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 39 years, Robert A. Evans; her father, Ralph A. Malling; her mother, Wanda A. Malling; and sister, Kathleen Simpson. She is survived by her brother, Keith Malling (Debbie); daughters, Kimberly Bell (Randall) and Stacy Parrish (Michael); her grandchildren, Kayla Giffin (Bruce), Allysa Farley (Joshua), McKenzie Bray, and Jordan Bell (Shelby). She had eight great-grandchildren.
Jeannine graduated from Emmerich Manual Training High School on June 15, 1961 and married the love of her life, Robert Allan Evans, on January 29, 1966 in Indianapolis, Indiana.
Jeannine was a woman of great strength and compassion. She was known for her love of being outside, nurturing her flowerbeds, and trimming trees. At any given moment she was always up for a stroll to the Dollar Tree where she found great joy in blessing kids with dollars for their treasures. Jeannine's heart did not know a stranger. If you couldn't find her strolling up and down aisles or enjoying the fresh air, you could certainly find her with her family. Her grandkids and great grandkids were her greatest joy, and she loved nothing more than spending time with them, showing them off, sharing stories, and passing down her green thumb tips and tricks. Jeannine had an infectious laugh and a warm smile that could light up any room. Her nurturing heart will be so dearly missed.
A burial service will be held on May 2, 2025 at 2:15pm at Forest Lawn Cemetery, 1977 S. St. Rd. 135, Greenwood, IN 46143. To follow will be a celebration in remembrance of her at Emmanuel Fieldhouse, 1640 W. Stones Crossing Rd., Greenwood, IN 46143. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to her favorite charities: A Living Tribute, Shriners Children's Hospital, St. Jude Children's Hospital, Wounded Warrior Project, and ASPCA, in honor of her.
Wife, Mom, Meme, Friend. The titles were endless. You will be greatly missed and forever remembered in our hearts. Your love and wisdom have left an indelible mark on all our lives.
