Jeffrey Scott Spitz, age 52, of Indianapolis, passed away Sunday, June 16, 2013. Jeff was born November 17, 1960 in Indianapolis to John E. and Shirley A. (Speer) Spitz. He was a graduate of Roncalli High School, Class of 1979 and later received his BA in accounting from IUPUI with the Class of 1983. Jeff was a member of Knights of Columbus #3660 and was their Financial Secretary. He was an avid golfer and enjoyed the Indianapolis Colts, the Indiana Pacers and was a devout IU fan. Jeff was a very kind and sweet man and will be sorely missed by all who knew him.

He is survived by his wife, the former Marcele Sprinkle whom he married July 30, 1983. Jeff is also survived by his son, Jonathon Spitz; daughters, Kristin Spitz, and Tiffany(Gabe) Jones; mother, Shirley; mother-in-law, Lois Sprinkle; grandson, Malachi Jones; brother, Mark Spitz. He was preceded in death by his father.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, June 20, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, Greenwood, with burial to follow in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.The Knights of Columbus Msgr. Downey Council # 3660 will hold a 4th Degree Service at 1:30 p.m. Visitation will be from 12:00 p.m. until the time of services at the funeral home.
