White
Dec 13, 1959 — Mar 4, 2021
Franklin
Jeffrey Dale White, age 61, passed away Thursday, March 4, 2021. Jeff is survived by his wife of 12 years, Melanie Coffey White; his mother, Gladys Spencer Henson; his sister, Laura White Ebley (Jerry); his stepchildren, Brian Polston (Amanda), Jonathan Polston (Lindsey), Amy McGowan (Michael); his grandchildren, Jonathan, Camden, McKenzie, Kendalynn, Brooklynn, Noah, and Alexis; two nieces, Chelsea Burch (Cory) and Kendall Ebley; step-mother, Linda White; step-sisters, Lora Caudill, and Kathy Hagan (Dave); and several aunts and cousins.
Jeff was predeceased in death by his father, John Dale White, his paternal grandparents, Oatis and Mildred White, and his maternal grandparents, Carl and Lillie Spencer.
Jeff attended Southwestern High School in Hanover, Indiana, and studied welding at Ivy Tech State College. He was a former business owner, worked as a fingerprint classifier with the Indiana State Police, and last worked at Anthem Insurance in property management. Jeff was a deacon at Bengal Christian Church and took pride serving as a servant-leader in that rewarding and honorable way. Jeff was a devoted member of Speedway Masonic Lodge #500, a 32 nd Degree Scottish Rite Free Mason of Indianapolis Valley and a Noble of the Murat Shrine. Jeff was everyone's friend. He was always there to lend a helping hand to anyone in need or offer an encouraging word. He loved to interject humor and was very quick-witted. Jeff enjoyed the simple things in life – playing with his grandchildren, taking care of his yard, and taking a ride on the golf cart.
Jeff's life will be celebrated on Thursday, March 11, 2021, at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens and Funeral Home, 1977 State Road 135, Greenwood, Indiana, with visitation from 12:00-2:00 p.m., eulogy service at 2:00 p.m. and burial following.
