Jennifer Ann McKinney, 25 lost her long heroic battle with leukemia on July 19, 2008. Jennifer was born May 2, 1983 to Luke and Diana McKinney Jr. Jennifer graduated from Roncalli High School and attended Purdue University with a degree in Elementary Education. Jennifer taught kindergarten at North Park Academy. She coached seventh grade softball at Carmel Middle School. She had been a teaching assistant at Towne Meadow in Carmel. She loved life, kids, and shopping. She is survived by her parents Luke and Diana McKinney, Brothers, Elton (Leigh Ann) Pruitt, and Jeremey (Tara) McKinney; she loved and had a special relationship with her nieces, Madison Pruitt, Mackenzie McKinney and nephews Peyton Pruitt and Joel McKinney, Grandmother Pearl Herrington, Grandparents Hollis and Betty Thomas, and Grandmother Brenda McKinney. She was preceded in death by grandfathers Murl Herrington and Luke McKinney. She was very close to her cousins, they were more like brothers and sisters, and, best friend, Carie Hopwood and family. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 AM, Thursday, July 24 at Forest Lawn Funeral Home 1977 S. St. Rd. 135, Greenwood, IN.
