Jeraldine King, Greenwood, IN, passed away on Saturday, January 24, 2026. She was 83 years old. Jeraldine was born in Indianapolis, IN, to her parents Frank and Ice Edith Lucas. Jeraldine married her husband, John King, in 2002 and they shared 24 years of marriage together.
Jeraldine worked in Assembly for Jenn Air and Western Electric for a number of years. Later, Jeraldine worked as a cashier for several Gas stations throughout Johnson County area. Jeraldine loved animals; she raised several dear dogs and cats during her life. She enjoyed watching the Hallmark channel, going shopping, and spending time at home with her husband. Jeraldine was known for her big-hearted nature. She loved spending time with her children and grandchildren.
Jeraldine is survived by her husband, John King; her children, Tony Flynn, Michele (Mike Schmoll) Coryell; her stepchildren, Samuael King, Suzanne King, and Shelly Griffith; her grandchildren, Tawny, Evan, Ian, and Bella; her step grandchildren, Austin and several others; her great grandchildren, Kalell, Odin and Jayd.
Jeraldine is preceded in death by her parents; her son, Danny Phelps; her grandsons, Blake Coryell and Quinn Phelps; her older brother.
Jeraldine will be buried at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens on Wednesday, February 4, 2026, at 2:00 pm. Family and friends will meet at Forest Lawn Funeral Home at 1:45 pm and process to the grave together.
