Obituary

Mr. Jerry Ray Dickey, Indianapolis, passed away on the early evening of Saturday, February 12, 2022. He was 83. Jerry was born January 3, 1939 in Jackson, Tennessee, a son of the late Charlie and Etta Lee (Marsh) Dickey.
Jerry graduated high school in Tennessee and came to Indianapolis as a young man. He had been employed in supervision at Cauldren Brothers Vending for several years before retiring.
Jerry enjoyed fishing and especially liked going to Dale Hollow Lake. He also enjoyed hunting and shooting guns and in his younger years was a collector of guns. He spent much of his leisure time watching sports on television and visiting the various state parks around Indiana. Jerry looked forward to going to church and he was a member of the Bible Church in Indianapolis.
Jerry is survived by his daughter, Julie West; his grandchildren, Andy (Amanda) West and Lorie West; his great-grandchildren, Karissa West, Logan West, Broden West, Brooke Gurley and Lauren Harper as well as a niece.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in passing by his wife, Mina L. (Shaffer) Dickey and a brother Charles Dickey.
The family will receive friends from 4:00 until 6:00 pm, Monday, February 21, 2022 at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, Greenwood.
There will be no formal funeral services.
Burial will take place at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
