Jerry Alan Floyd, age 62, of Indianapolis, passed away at his residence Sunday, April 30, 2017. He was born October 24, 1954 in Harrisburg, Arkansas to Ira D. and Robbie Nell (Caperton) Floyd. Jerry was a self- employed painter and worked and owned Floyd Painting from 1995 to 2002. He was an avid artist who had a great eye for detail. He liked meeting people and he loved music. He will be great missed by all who know him.

Jerry married the former Sheri L Hackett on August 10, 1982 and she survives him along with their daughters, Misty D. (husband, Chad) Roberts of Lagrande KY and Jamie C. (fianc, Tommy Lavey) Green of Louisville, KY; brothers, Billy Floyd of Indianapolis; sisters, Shirley (husband, Lee) Huff of Shepardsville, Ky, and Mary N. Floyd; grandchild, Garrett Roberts and one on the way; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, and brother, Gary Floyd.

There will be a Memorial Service at a later date. The family chose Forest Lawn Funeral Home, Greenwood, to assist with the arrangements.
