Jill Michelle Murray, Indianapolis, IN, passed away on Wednesday, December 3, 2025. She was 53 years old. Jill was born in Indianapolis, IN to her parents John and Jan Straw. Jill married her husband, James Murray, on April 9, 2016, and together they shared 9 years of marriage together.
Jill loved working as a nurse for the majority of her life. She passionately cared for her patients and even cared for her parents and aunt as they were sick towards the end of their lives. More recently, Jill worked alongside her husband in their company, Murray & Murray Construction. Jill was a member of Emmanuel Church with her husband for many years. Jill had a big heart and was known to donate money to care for children in Africa and for local animal shelters; she was a big dog lover. She loved to spend time with her beloved family, especially her grandchildren; she proudly wore the title of Gigi. Jill will be dearly missed by those she leaves behind.
Jill is survived by her husband, James Murray; her children, Kayla (Logan) Wallace, Jasmine (Justin) Perry, and Jade (Cole) Warweg; her grandchildren, Devyn Wallace, Cambri Perry, and Eiley Warweg; her several step siblings.
Jill is preceded in death by her parents.
A visitation for Jill will be held on Monday, December 8, 2025, at Forest Lawn Funeral Home from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm. The funeral service will be on Monday, December 8, 2025, at 1:00 pm. Burial will immediately follow at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens at 2:00 pm.
