Joan Whitaker (Chapman) Whitaker's Obituary
Joan C. Whitaker, 72, of Indianapolis passed away February 6, 2017. She was born one of 14 children in Minneapolis, Minnesota on May 24, 1944 to Harold and Fern (Payne) Chapman.
Joan was a loving and dedicated wife, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed her flowers and was an awesome cook.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Noel "Lynn" Whitaker and son, Trevor Whitaker.
Joan is survived by her sons, Troy (Angie) Whitaker, Brandon (Amy) Whitaker, and Travis (Alicia) Whitaker; daughters, Tracy Whitaker and Nicole (Brent) Mears; grandchildren, Zachary (Katt) Smith, Paige Whitaker, Heather Burkhead, Cortland Whitaker, Hannah Whitaker, Trevor Whitaker, and Abigail Whitaker and one great grandchild, Ivie Joan Smith.
A memorial visitation will be held on Friday, February 10 from 3 pm - 7 pm in Forest Lawn Funeral Home, 1977 S. State Rd. 135, Greenwood.
