Joan Marie Edwards Duvall, 86, of Indianapolis passed away August 29, 2016. She was born January 2, 1930 in Indianapolis, IN to Roy and Maybelle (Hensley) Edwards.

Joan graduated from Arsenal Tech High School and attended Butler University. She was married to Richard E. Duvall in 1955, who passed away in 1997. Her family was the light of her life. She was retired from Indiana University Dental School, where she was the secretary of the Endodontic Department. She loved to travel and enjoyed playing tennis.

Joan is survived by her daughters, Marcia Lynn (Larry) Davidson and Jill Adrienne (Gary) Hedges; grandsons, Ted (Ashely) Davidson, Ben (Kristyn) Davidson, Nicholas Ryan Hedges and Brody Lee Hedges; great grandchildren, Reid, Remy, Miles and Banks Davidson.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 1 from 4 pm - 8 pm in Forest Lawn Funeral Home, 1977 S. State Rd. 135, Greenwood. A funeral service will be held on Friday, September 2 at 10 am, also in the mortuary. Graveside services will follow in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
