Joan Harris, 83, went to see Jesus on November 3, 2021. Joan was born to the late
Charles Ray and Vida B. Owens in McLeod, Texas on April 5 1938.

Joan was married to Elmer Harris for 68 years and they reside in Greenwood Indiana. Joan's
love for Elmer was second only to her love for Jesus Christ. Joan always lit up
every room she walked in and the joy from her heart was contagious to everyone
she met. Everyone she met was greeted with a huge smile, and regardless of how
she felt, she would always say she was doing "fine".

Joan is survived by her loving husband, Elmer Harris; her children, E. Curtis (Judy)
Harris, Carolynn Jo (Billy) Hobson, Marcus Ray(Patty)Harris, Michael DeWayne
(Babette) Harris; her sister, Lynn Owens; her grandchildren, Luke Harris, Jess
Harris, Michaela Leonard, Aaron Harris, Brian Hobson, Abby Strehle, Cara Kraft,
Joshua Bourff, Caitlynn Bourff, Tim Wallace, Corey Harris, Haley Harris, Emily
Harris, Chrissy Schnakenberg, Michael Harris; and 12 great grandchildren.
Besides her parents she is preceded in death by her sisters Iva and Lenora; a
brother Pete; and grandson Tim.

Funeral services will be conducted at noon with visitation starting at 10:00 am on
Monday ,November 8, 2021 at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens and Funeral Home
in Greenwood, Indiana.
