Joan Michael, age 80, of Indianapolis passed away Tuesday, September 11, 2012. She was born March 3, 1932 in Osgood, IN to Frank and Gaily (Firth) Damm. She attended St. Mark''s Catholic Church many years ago. Joan loved to garden, do crafts, and spend quality time with her beloved family.
Joan is survived by her sons, Phil (Donna) Michael of Savannah, GA and Steve (Diane) Michael of Zionsville, IN; daughter, Mary Ann (Bob) Schroeder of Indianapolis; grandchildren, Lauren and Logan Michael, Johnna Nelson and Christina (Rob) Harmon; great grand daughter, Ava Nelson; cousin, Johnny Damm. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, James Michael who passed away in 1999.
Funeral services will be held Friday, September 14 at 11:00 a.m. at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, Greenwood with entombment to follow in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens. Visitation will be Thursday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
