Joan Marie Schroer, 83, of Greenwood, passed away January 26.  She was born September 3, 1937 in Indianapolis to Harry and Dorothy (Sunderman) Schultz.

Joan was a beautiful soul who was, sadly, widowed early in life, left with three young children.  But she worked tirelessly as a single mother to care for her family.  Her family was her life, she loved nothing more than large reunions where everyone could get together and have fun.  Joan also loved the Lord with all her heart.  Her deep relationship with Him gives her family hope.  Joan was a beloved mother, grandmother, and great grandmother; she will be dearly missed.

Joan is survived by her children, Theresa Eggers, Kristi Spencer, and Kurt (Erika Nay) Schroer; siblings, Harry Schultz, Jr., and Beverly Pine; grandchildren, Jordan (Annette) Schroer; great granddaughter, Aurora Schroer; and many other family members.

In addition to her parents and husband, Louis Schroer, Joan is also preceded in death by her granddaughter, Faith Marie Schroer.

Family will receive friends from 11:00am - 3:00pm Monday, February 1 at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, 1977 S State Road 135, Greenwood, IN  46143.
