Obituary

Joel Joseph Doolin, 30, passed away unexpectedly September 7, 2021, in Indianapolis, In. Joel was born in Indianapolis, Indiana on May 12, 1991. He was a 2011 graduate of Decatur Central High School.

Joel is survived by his wife, Erin, his mother Ronda, his sister Amanda, & his beloved dog Scout. He is predeceased by his father Ted Doolin, grandfather Fred Patterson, and grandmother Ana Patterson.

Joel enjoyed and excelled at many activities throughout his life. In high school, he ran track and cross country. Joel loved to play flag & fantasy football and video games with his friends as well as write music and play his guitar.

Joel and his wife Erin celebrated 7 wonderful years together. In that time they loved to binge watch movies and television shows, go to concerts, and play board games. Their happiest times were spent at home laughing and joking with each other. Joel was the best husband you could ask for. He was patient, kind, caring, giving, selfless, funny, charismatic, & silly. He had a contagious smile and always made people laugh.

Joel cherished and adored his rescue dog, Scout, and loved taking her on long walks in the park & playing with her after work.

Joel was a devoted husband and hard worker. He loved installing things around the house and working on his beloved Chevy truck, Bertha. He was always willing to lend a hand to those in need and never asked for anything in return.

Joel will be deeply missed by his family and friends and all who knew him. This world will never be the same.
