John L. Deem, age 66, of Indianapolis, passed away April 25, 2010. He was born May 5, 1943 in Carthage, IN to Lloyd and Elsie (Toschlog) Deem. He was a Carpenter and he was an antique car aficionado, as well as model cars, horses and farm toys. John loved to socialize and opinionate. He married Frances Anderson on July 3, 1965 and she survives. He is also survived by his sons, John II, of Jefferson, GA, Rodney and his wife, Kathy, of Indianapolis; his daughter Angela Gustafson and her husband Eric, of Sarasota, FL; one brother, James Deem, of Shelbyville; sisters, Eloise Pedigo, and her husband, Orville, of Indianapolis, Carol Kirby, of Indianapolis, and JoAnn Deem, of Indianapolis and 6 grandchildren. Funeral services will be Thursday, April 29 at 3:00 PM at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens Ben Franklin Mausoleum Chapel, Greenwood, with burial to follow in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens. Visitation is from 1:30 PM to service time on Thursday. In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions of 1:64 scale toy cars. Forest Lawn Funeral Home assisting family with the arrangments.
