John C. Grabhorn, Indianapolis, passed away on the early morning of Monday, July 24, 2023. He was 85 years old. John was born in Indianapolis, IN to his parents Richard and Rosemary.  He graduated from Moral Township High School.
John worked as a Pipe Fitter for Eli Lilly and retired in 1994 after 35 years of service. John enjoyed coaching little league baseball, football and soccer. He volunteered as a referee for a variety of sports as well. He loved to watch football on TV no matter who was playing. John loved watching NASCAR races and going fishing all during his life. John never met a stranger and deeply loved all of his many grandchildren and great grandchildren. The memories created will now be cherished by those he leaves behind.
John is survived by his children, Teresa Gwin, John Charles Grabhorn II, Brian (Angie) Grabhorn, and Gregory (Leslie) Grabhorn; his grandchildren, Brittany, Corey, Logan, Ashley, Kellie, Cassie, Victoria, Chelsea, Lake, Simon, Jayden, and Landon; his numerous great grandchildren.
John is preceded in death by his parents; his great granddaughter, Abigail Lynn Rose; his brothers, Richard "Dick" Grabhorn and Larry Elliot.
There will be no services at this time but a celebration of life in the future.
