John Lee Hardcastle, 54, passed away peacefully Monday, August 22, 2011 at his residence. He was born on December 31, 1956 in Indianapolis where he lived most of his life. John graduated from Manual High School in 1974. He received a degree in Gun Smithing which he planned to use to live-out his dream to own his own gunsmith shop.
John was a tremendously loving father, grandfather, and friend to all who knew him and will be sadly missed. John was a forklift driver for many factories throughout the Indianapolis area.
John is survived by his mother Mary Ann Poteet Hardcastle; brothers Frank, Daniel, and Paul Hardcastle; sister Rosie Hamilton; loving children: Johnny Lee Hardcastle II and Maria Lynn Hardcastle; granddaughter Jaliene Marie and grandson Spencer James.
John was preceded in death by his father James Sidney Hardcastle.
Granddaughter Jaliene said Poppy loved playing with her and Spencer and will miss him very much.
