John A. Hilderbrand, age 84, of Indianapolis, passed away Monday, June 10, 2013 with his family at his side. He was born September 22, 1928 in Norman, IN to Harry and Myrtle (Fleetwood) Hilderbrand.

John was a truck driver for A&H Trucking for many years and he was a member of Teamsters Local 135. He was an avid Pacers fan and he loved to play the guitar.

He married the former Della Hoopingarner on July 17, 1948 in Bedford, IN and she preceded him in death on November 14, 2010. John is survived by his sons, Danny, David (Cathy), of Cape Coral, FL, Curtis (Sharon) of Indianapolis, and Donnie (Vickie) Hilderbrand, of Cape Coral, FL; daughter, Penny (Jim) Watson, of Indianapolis; ten grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, son, sister and grandson. He will be sorely missed by all who knew him.

Funeral services will be held Friday, June 14, 2013 at 1:30 p.m. at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, Greenwood, with burial to follow in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens. Visitation will be from 11:30 a.m. to service time at the funeral home.
