John Lawrence Hurst, 83, of Indianapolis died Thursday October 28, 2010. John was born to the late John T. and Pearl Pitman Hurst in Willilla, Kentucky on May 11, 1927. He was a pipefitter at Citizen Gas. He married Willena McKinney and she survives. John served our country in the US Army during WW II. Surviving with his wife is one son: Gordon D. Hurst. One daughter and son-in-law: Nancy and Brad Lee. One brother: Earl Hurst. One sister: Lena Hurst. Nine grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. A celebration life will be from 4-7 pm Sunday at Chapelwood Baptist Church 201 N. Girls School Road, Indianapolis, IN 40214. Private burial will be at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
