John Wayne McCutcheon, 73 Years old, Indianapolis, Indiana, Marion County, died on July 16, 2026, at Community South Hospital in Greenwood, Indiana.

John was born to Charles and Minnie McCutcheon on July 26, 1952. He attended college and then went on to the United States Army, 101st Airborne Division, during the Vietnam War error.

He prided himself on his hard work as a machinist in all his careers. He previously worked at Naval Avionics and later, for Amtrack in the machine shop.

John was a strong-willed man, loving father, grandfather, and great grandfather. It was always his way or the highway. He had a love for his family, old classic cars, trains, and NASCAR.

He is survived by his children, Jessica (McCutcheon) Lucas; son in law, Ryan Lucas, Terri McCutcheon; granddaughters, Alyssa and Kaycee Cochrane; great granddaughters, Sydney and August Davis; The mother of his children, Loretta Wilson; His life partner, Marilyn Bryant; His life partner's son, William Bryant; Many nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Minnie McCutcheon; Brothers, Curtis, Mike, James, Randy, Bob, Dale, Donnie, Guy, Wayne, and Charlie McCutcheon; sister, Marilyn (McCutcheon) Smith.

The visitation for John will be on Thursday, July 23, 2026, at Forest Lawn Funeral Home from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm. The funeral service will commence at 12:00 pm at Forest Lawn Funeral Home. John will be laid to rest at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens immediately following the funeral service at 1:00pm.
