Johnny Allan Freije passed away October 5, 2019.  He was born September 19, 1939 to John and Louise (Faletic) Freije in Indianapolis.  Johnny first and foremost loved spending time with his family.  Johnny loved playing poker and pinochle.  He also enjoyed bowling, traveling, and golf.  He enjoyed watching college and professional sports – especially IU, Franklin College Women's Basketball and Notre Dame Football.  Johnny is survived by his loving wife Patty (Duncan) Freije; children, Pamela (Jim) Hoyt, Mark (Josie) Freije, and Tony (Ronda) Freije; grandchildren, Matthew (Jessica) Hoyt, Christopher (Chelsea) Hoyt, Patrick (Elsilyn) Hoyt, Nicholas Hoyt, Ashley Freije, Tabitha (Brady) Spence, Serena (Tommy) Piotrowski, Bridgette Freije, Alyssa Freije, and Lindsay Freije; great grandchildren, Tucker Hoyt, Nora Hoyt, and Callan Hoyt, and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents John Freije and Louise (Faletic) Koegan; sister, Constance Joan (Freije) Brinker.  Visitation will be Wednesday October 9, 2019, from 11-1 p.m. with funeral services starting at 1 p.m. at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens, 1977 S. State Rd 135, Greenwood, IN 46143.In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Anesthesia Department at Riley Hospital for Children, 705 Riley Hospital Drive, Indianapolis, IN 46202.
