Johnny "Rusty" Hall Jr., 69 years of age, of Indianapolis, passed away peacefully Tuesday, November 7, 2017, with his children by his side.
Johnny was born April 15, 1948 in Marlinton, West Virginia to the late Johnny Hall Sr. and Jean Hall-Scott (Cloonan). A veteran of the U.S. Army, he proudly served his country with the 101st Airborne Division during the Vietnam War as a paratrooper and combat medic, and is a Purple Heart recipient. He retired from Raytheon in 2008, and spent his retirement happily fishing and relaxing with a cold Bud Light, almost always in the company of his grandkids, who thought the world of their Papaw.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Tamara Hall Sanders.
He is survived by his children- son, Johnny Hall III, daughter, Jennifer Hall, daughter, Barbara "B.J." Arthur, son-in-law, Greg Arthur, grandchildren, Chad Sanders (fianc Alyssa), Anthony Sanders, Kaden and Brooke Batiste, Logan, Zack, and Justin Brock, Brittany and Jaylen Arthur, and great-grandchildren, Camden, Kynlee, Easton, and Maverick. He is also survived by step-sisters, Susan Scott-Guarneri and Anita Pidun (husband Uwe).
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 14, 2017 from 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm in Forest Lawn Funeral Home, 1977 S. State Rd. 135, Greenwood. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, November 15, 2017 at 10:00 am, also in the funeral home. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
