Mr. Jose Alfredo Hernandez-Ruiz, Indianapolis, passed away Tuesday, March 1, 2022. He was 37. Alfredo was born December 9, 1984 in Gunyo, Aculco, Mexico, a son of Mauro Hernandez-Garcia and Felipa Ruiz Alcantara.

Alfredo came to the United States at 15 years of age and had been employed for the past eight years as a crane operator with OmniSource. He enjoyed hanging with his friends and spending time with his family. He also enjoyed listening to music, walking, tinkering with cars and the Indianapolis Colts. Alfredo was a friend to many and everyone thought of him as being a very nice and friendly guy. He attended St. Patrick Catholic Church.

Alfredo is survived by his wife, Trena Carmer-Hernandez; his children, Ariq, Aren and Analea; his parents, Mauro and Felipa; his siblings, Carlos Hernandez-Ruiz and Silvia Hernandez-Ruiz and several nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in passing by his brothers, Hugo Hernandez-Ruiz and Rogelio Hernandez-Ruiz as well as his grandparents.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted at 1:00 pm, Tuesday, March 8, 2022 at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 950 E. Prospect St., Indianapolis, with Father Herv Jones officiating. Burial will follow at 3:00 pm at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.

The family will receive friends from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm Tuesday at the church.
