Joseph "Joe" R. Cunningham, Bargersville, went home to be with the Lord on the morning of Saturday, January 7, 2023. He was 75 years old. Joe was born in San Antonio, TX to his parents Donald R. and Betty Cunningham. Joe was also lovingly referred to as "Pody" by his friends and family.
Joe worked as an assistant at Gateway for several years. Joe spent a great deal of his life around horses. He enjoyed caring for and riding them in his spare time. Joe also enjoyed crossword puzzles, paint by numbers, Bingo, coloring and drawing.  Joe loved to laugh and was always described as having a big smile and a bigger heart. The memories created will now be cherished by those he leaves behind.
Joe is survived by his siblings, Robert Lee Cunningham and Ronald (Cheryl) Cunningham; 2 nieces, 2 great nieces, and 1 great nephew.
Joe is preceded in death by his parents; his sisters, Donna Cunningham and Carol Osbourne; his grandma Nellie.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 pm on Thursday, January 12, 2023 at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, Greenwood. He will be laid to rest at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens following the services.
The family will receive friends from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm on Thursday, January 12, 2023 at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, Greenwood.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that memorial contributions be made in Joe's honor to Franklin Meadows.
